# Grammar Rules ## Ordering (canonical precedences) ```text Purpose → Context → Understanding → Contribution → Decision → Continuity → Posterity ``` Rules are declared as direct precedences. Transitive orderings are derived by `transitivePrecedence()`. `orderingIsAcyclic()` proves the graph is a DAG — a cycle would mean the grammar contradicts itself. ## Composition invariants Standing constraints that hold regardless of order: 1. **Rationale beside decision.** Rationale belongs beside decisions. Never separated from them. 2. **Questions open understanding.** Questions are never treated as failure. 3. **Memory is preserved understanding.** Memory is not storage. 4. **Continuity survives interruption.** Every experience must anticipate interruption. 5. **Capability is the outcome.** The purpose of every experience is increased capability. 6. **Posterity is capability across time.** ## Relationships (non-ordering) Nine `support` / `produces` / `belongs-with` edges connect elements outside strict precedence — for example, `rationale` belongs-with `decision`, and `understanding` produces `capability`.
