# Stewardship Canon

The Stewardship Canon is the enduring, distilled reference of Human
Stewardship principles. It is not a volume. Every ratified volume
contributes entries; the Canon expresses the timeless expression of
PosterityOS philosophy.

## Founding belief

> Understanding deserves stewardship.

Every Canon entry must ultimately derive from this single belief.
Nothing in the Canon may contradict it.

## Rules

- Append-only. Entries are never deleted or silently rewritten.
- Supersession is explicit — a new entry marks the old one via
  `supersededBy`; the old text remains visible.
- Implementation-independent — no product, interface, or technology
  terms.
- Universal — applicable to any human system intended to improve
  understanding.
