The Stewardship Canon is the enduring, distilled reference of Human Stewardship principles. It is not a volume. Every ratified volume contributes entries; the Canon expresses the timeless expression of PosterityOS philosophy.
Founding belief#
Understanding deserves stewardship.
Every Canon entry must ultimately derive from this single belief. Nothing in the Canon may contradict it.
Rules#
- Append-only. Entries are never deleted or silently rewritten.
- Supersession is explicit — a new entry marks the old one via
supersededBy; the old text remains visible. - Implementation-independent — no product, interface, or technology terms.
- Universal — applicable to any human system intended to improve understanding.
Location#
src/platform/stewardship/library/canon.ts — pure data. canonAppendIsSafe(before, after) proves an append preserves history.
